On October 10, 2024, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Association of Chinese Professors and Scholars in the United States (CAPS) was held at the Marriott Delta Hotel in the United States. The event gathered elites from the academic, business, and other sectors around the world to discuss industry trends and cutting-edge topics. Gates Yao, Chairman of Mutong Capital, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a speech.

The Association of Chinese Professors and Scholars in the United States (CAPS) is a non-profit, non-political community organization and one of the oldest professional academic exchange groups in Southern California. It brings together American academicians, internationally recognized award winners, professors, and scholars from universities and research institutions. CAPS currently has 182 lifetime members and has become an important bridge in the academic community, attracting top scholars to discuss cutting-edge issues and share their latest research findings.

Gates Yao, renowned for his contributions to youth entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and philanthropy, was invited by CAPS to share his insights. Through a series of case studies and forward-thinking perspectives, he engaged with Chinese academic elites at the conference to discuss how to leverage technology to promote educational internationalization and build a global education system.

During the exchange, Gates Yao emphasized that education must evolve with the times and incorporate the latest technological advancements to revolutionize teaching methods, such as online learning platforms, AI teaching assistants, and big data analysis tools. He stressed that the application of these technologies not only improves the quality and efficiency of education but also significantly promotes the equitable distribution of educational resources.

He further discussed how to drive educational internationalization through technological innovation. He proposed that the development of modern communication technology has broken geographical boundaries, making cross-border educational collaboration possible. As educators, we should actively build a global learning network that provides students worldwide access to quality educational resources, fostering understanding and communication between different cultures.

At the end of his speech, Gates Yao emphasized that Mutong Capital will continue to dedicate itself to promoting academic exchange and cooperation between China and the United States, supporting technological innovation, and facilitating mutual progress in education and research. He encouraged all attendees to continue exerting influence in their respective fields and contribute to building a more open, inclusive, and interconnected world.

As the speech concluded, the ideas and messages conveyed by Gates Yao planted a seed of hope in the hearts of the attendees. Mutong Capital‘s appearance on the international stage marks the beginning of new opportunities, promoting deep cross-sector and cross-cultural cooperation, and bringing more positive momentum to global development.
